With the introduction of the new Presidential Dollar Coins, the $1 bill should be eventually phased out to increase the circulation of the new currency. Simultaneously, a complete redesign of the dollar to meet international currency standards (such as polymer notes, braille and varied sizes for the visually impaired) will be required.
The US Dollar is extremely behind in terms of design for security, and it is time to rebrand our currency, restore financial confidence, and revive our failing economy.
